Tarjeta de Identidad de Extranjeros TIE for British UK Nationals Taking Up Residency in Spain
We are no taking on new applications for the Withdrawal Agreement TIE, as we have passed the point that we will be able to submit the application before the end of the transition period 31st December.
We will recommence the service in the New Year once we know the outcome of the UK’s final departure and the terms of any deal or no deal and in turn the implications and changes to the residency requirements for British Nationals post Brexit.
What Is the Process for a British UK National to get a TIE?
The application process has two stages. In the first stage an application is presented to the main Foreigners Office (extranjeria) in the province that you live in. The second stage is completed at the National Police Station that serves your locality.
The second part is relatively straight forward, however the initial application requires up to date knowledge of the Foreigners Office requirements.
We’ve prepared and presented hundreds of applications for both EU citizen residency certificates, and non-EU TIE’s, so we’re familiar with procedure at both the (Oficinas de Extranjería), and police stations, (Comisarías de Policía).
We can guide and advise you on all aspects of your Spanish residency and TIE application, so you can get it right and accepted with no fuss.
