IMPORTANT NOTICE FOR BRITISH NATIONALS: There will be a new procedure after Brexit, for British nationals to register as residents. Those who have already registered and obtained their Spanish residency certificate, will also have to exchange this for a new residency card. Whilst it is technically still possible to obtain a Spanish residency certificate before the UK leave the EU, in practice it is almost impossible. In most areas there are now no appointments available, and you are directed to make an appointment to register under the new post Brexit procedure.
If you are a British National living in Spain, spending more than 3 months in the country, or are planning to do so, you will lose your right to reside if you do not have a Spanish residency certificate, or have NOT attempted to get one. If you do not have your certificate and want to keep your right to reside in Spain, you need to make sure you have OBTAINED an appointment to register as a British National resident in Spain, BEFORE 29th March. The date of the appointment does not need to be before 29th March, it just needs to have been MADE before that date.
Our made easy® service is unaffected by the above changes. Our service will handle your application to register you under the new procedure, if you are not able to get an appointment to present your application before 29th March.
